Aren’t you tired of hearing: “Take this pose if it’s in your practice…”
But how are we supposed to learn these poses if we never actually practice them — or take the time to understand their technique?
In this session, we’ll work on Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose), Salamba Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand) and Sirsasana (Headstand) through targeted drills, the use of props, and clear, thoughtful cueing.
In addition to the workshop, you will receive a little bundle of videos and a PDF to continue practicing the drills after the workshop at home.
NOTE:
While we will approach these poses starting from their foundational preparations, some prior experience with yoga is necessary.

Why take a workshop on Sun Salutations? Don’t we already practice them enough in regular flow classes?
Yes, we do—and that’s exactly why it’s worth taking a closer look!
Sun Salutations are the backbone of many yoga practices, but often we move through them quickly, without fully understanding each posture. In this workshop, we’ll break down the different types of Sun Salutations, explore the principles behind each pose, and learn how to modify them according to your body’s needs.
You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the sequence, making it easier to remember and more meaningful to practice. (And if you don’t memorize it all in two hours, no worries—you’ll leave with a handy cheat sheet to support your home practice.)
We’ll also take time to answer your questions and explore the philosophy behind Surya Namaskar—so you can begin to build a personal, sustainable practice at home.
